Probably was. It was a giant tub of it from Costco. I thought it was an amazing deal but apparently it had gone off even though it was sealed and was well within expiration. Was squirting out of both ends for 2 straight days.

Always a risk when raw or pickled seafood is used. Worth the risk to me. I've had stuff made "vegan" or with only fish sauce. it's just not right. I prefer anchovies or shrimp to the oyster variety though. Sadly: H Mart tends to lean on Oyster
