I have seen these before. They are "interesting" but I don't expect them to hold up well to any "real" weather. Now, old plans on how to build a dome by hand or something? That will probably last for generations. You just can't "build it" in a day.
Department stores like Sears did this a long time ago. Everything arrived basically prefabbed but you had to build it yourself. Then again, you actually needed to put in the labor, put up the walls, the plumbing, electric, etc... You got "parts" like legos. Not something like a RV that doesn't have wheels.
