It's been a mild winter in Minnesota to say the least. Green grass in most yards still on Christmas day. I saw a guy cutting his grass on Christmas Eve for God's sake. Most lakes have little to no ice on them. Most years at this time your are able to drive your heavy truck out on the ice with no worries. Ice fishing is a big deal in Minnesota where hard-core fisherman spend a shit ton of money on equipment and plan to use it. There was a Bombardier tracked vehicle hauling a group out on Lake Of the Woods/NW Angle that went through the ice yesterday... Last I heard 1 dead.
