I've been lucky enough to have a decent job through the last few downturns. Bought a lot of good quality furniture during the 2000 crash because people were dumping stuff at next to nothing. I'm talking real wood, quality stuff that probably cost a mint when it was new, or was made locally.

I filled my home with stuff, but if I can run across a nice 5ft bookcase for the front room and a couple of leather recliners, I'm there.
