When I was but a tyke, I was hooked on this Sci-Fi pulp series. Their concept of marriage in 'The Future' was a contract that had to be renewed in certain intervals (Yearly, IIRC). Back then, and being witness to how my parents treated each other, I thought it a mighty good idea.
