You cant use a cheery picker or a lift truck for this work. It has to be done by helicopter so that a grounding pathway cannot be established. If you were to go up to one of these lines in a lift truck your would get high voltage plasma arching from the cable to the truck about 5 feet out from contact and everyone and everything on that truck would become a highly charged bbq. Since the helicopter has no contact to ground the volts just pass through the equipment and continue down the line.
