Those were the good old days ... I never used Napster or Limewire, I can't recall what program I used, but it was freeware and under the radar ... too small, I suppose for the big guys to worry about. It worked great though.

I also downloaded MP3s via IRC back when, there were channels devoted to it.

Maybe it was the same one I used, sour or something like that or soar. It was small but it worked even on dial up

maybe.. just a little - IRC was more for full albums / discogs - limewire was good for when you just wanted one or two songs quickly.

I’m probably the only one that remembers sour I’m not even positive of the name I can’t find any mention of it but I remember it. I used it to download episodes of South Park in real player format each episode was like 20mb and I stored them on Zip disks. Good times.
