It's probably a national average. Each city, county, and state has their own taxes.
And it varies like crazy:
I quit smoking cigs but use the njoy vape now. I was smoking a pack a day. Now I’m down to a pod every 2 days about. 2 pods costs 10 dollars. Of course the powers that be got all butt hurt about vaping and want to ban it. The governor of nj put restrictions on vape pod flavors. Now I can only get tobacco and mint flavor. I used to use the blueberry.
$20 per pack in Aussie land? How is smoking still a thing there with those prices? A pack a day habit would cost over $600 a month. I don't understand how this has not had the desired effect of forcing people to quit.
I think everything there is more expensive partly because their min wage is $19.49.
