I remember when shitty cookies like Snack Well came out as a "healthy" fat free snack. The problem was they added more sugar when the fat was removed, and then pushed these death wafers as a "healthy snack". That same company continues the "healthy snack" lies today, although they have added some fat to the current recipes to reduce the sugar that they poisoned people with. It was the consumers choice to buy and eat them, true. But, there is so much adverting BS that the government approves of that it's really disheartening. As the article states, false data was used to push the lie that eating fat was bad, when the opposite is true.

I've seen quite a bit of stuff on this issue specifically over the years, I vaguely remember it being pushed pretty hard by the sugar industry.

Damn I thought it was the beer...

Kidding, I'm not fat.

I'm down forty pounds since March.

One meal per day. No calorie limit.

I eat as much as I want and whatever I want, just only once per day.

I've recently, however, introduced a supplemental protein (whey protein mixed with water: Pure Whey brand) toward the middle of the day. This staves off hunger, gives me some energy and helps me lose more fat but maintain more muscle.

I take plenty of supplements. Most of what I take helps me manage stress levels (Cortisol) and helps to decalcify my Pineal Gland (this is serious. you need to go research now about what you can do today to manage calcification of your pineal gland). There are many herbs called Adaptogens out there. Learn about them and make use of them. You no longer need anxiety medication if you take it, you feel great throughout the day and are hardly snappy or easily bothered by people and so much more. The biggest reason Adaptogens are important, though, is, as I alluded to above, Cortisol management. See, Cortisol manages stress in the body, which is one of the ways your body decides to store fat or not. The other is Insulin, but I don't worry about that much.

One of the supplements I'm sure to take is Iodine. Iodine helps your thyroid function better, mostly because iodized salt has fled our diets en masse. So, if one balances out their Iodine intake, their thyroid, which is responsible for hormone management, will work more efficiently. This helps your body greatly with managing weight. It's said, although I don't have much research or sources to back this up, that a proper Iodine intake will make it so it doesn't really matter where you get your calories from.

Also, please have a look at this video: https://stoplookthink.com/every-cancer-can-be-cured-in-6-weeks/ The guy explains a bit about cancer, but that's not all he discusses. He mentions Cholesterol and how wrong we all are about it - in direct refutation of the video that started this thread. I'd encourage you to watch it whether you have cancer or heart issues.

Thanks for the video, Boobs. Although Vegetarianism/Veganism is both stupid and futile. We need meat. Meat is how we developed this far. It's extremely important, especially for young boys. See, all or practically all manly men died off in the huge string of (world) wars we've had over the past century or two. The ones that survived or came after were dumbed down, demoralized and humiliated. Apart of the process was the introduction of soy in to large portions of the food industry (practically all). These Soy Men (Boys) are the reason we're all still in this mess.

Let me reiterate a final time: Decalcify and fucking eat meat.

I agree on the meat part. I do think its an essential part of a healthy diet.

Well tell me what you don't agree with. I'm curious. I'm always open to new perspectives, especially when it comes to nutrition.

You left out the most important part: go get blood tests.

Only blood tests will show you what levels of vitamins and hormones your body has, what you're deficient in, etc. Also, check your numbers against what others have, especially your T.

These are recorded and stored. I'm not too keen on that.

Maybe true, but I just don't know of any other alternative.

What do you take to decalcify? As far as adaptogens, I take ashwagandha and rhodiola. Love them.

I just listed some supplements in that thread about pineal gland discussion. You should check that out.

Also, try eleuthero too. Check out 5-HTP and Tryptophan too.

I’ve been looking over my mother’s handwritten recipes lately as a way to honor and memorialize her as I approach the one year anniversary of her death. She was never a great mom, but I loved her nonetheless. I’ve always been struck by the fact that wherever a recipe would logically call for butter, she wrote oleo. Also, she was obese. Go figure.

I'm sorry to hear about your mother, I'm sure that one is one of the hardest to get through.

What is oleo? I'm not familiar with the term

Thank you. Oleo is margarine. I grew up on the east coast. Perhaps it is a colloquial term.

Ah, now that I know what is. Never cared for the stuff myself. My mom used it in almost everything.
