Before I met my wife and was dating I remember this black guy walking up to our table and said hi to the girl I was interested in. It was quick and cordial and he left. Then in a polite way I asked her if that was a friend of hers and she responded that it was her ex boyfriend. This is how I felt and I never talked to her again.
