There were many "Iowa-class" battleships that fought in WW2 and Vietnam. New Jersey, Alabama, Missouri (The Big Mo), Nevada, Arizona, et.al. That's why the Department of the Navy was confused when Corpus Christi, Texas rejected plans to name SSN-705 after their city. That's why it's the only LA Class nuclear attack sub to be named "The City of" before the city name.

...and many others, but there's only 1

There were only 4 Iowas: Iowa, New Jersey, Missouri, Wisconsin. Sometimes technology and budgets shift so fast that a "class" of ship/sub can only be a couple/few, or maybe 10.

I don't know if you're Catholic or not, but any nuclear attack submarine named Corpus Christi should have at least a Monsignor at the fire controls. "May the Lord have mercy on your souls" should be invoked before visiting 50 megatons of nuclear fire on most African villages.
