Oh certainly people have bullshit disciplines that have earned them PHD's. That is the problem with the institution that gave it out. You can get a PHD for under water basket weaving if someone will let you. You're still a Doctor.
Yes... but I've never heard anyone w/ a PHD in say... chemistry demand others call them doctor. It's always the insecure 'social soft sciences' types obsessed w/ demanding respect while spouting crazy cat lady nonsense lol.
I've heard them thousands of times. Physicists, Materials guys, Chemistry, Mathematics, all kinds of people. Usually people that have hard sciences normally do it. But I agree education is pretty bullshit, but that's the education system. They make the rules.
Perhaps in the classroom... but not in the grocery store...
