They should go full Korean like in Compton on roofs with guns that may not be legal in DC and Molotov Cocktails to keep crowds away from businesses and mobs from moving to the capital buildings area. Hell they need to blockade the area with concrete separators like on the highways to keep buses of shitheads from entering the area and I would consider getting some form of security since DC likely has no national guard not being a state and that also means no state police. So I would seriously think of putting in martial law for a day or so in the DC area with a lot of areas off limits and other areas with crowd control for aggitated groups. No shooting unless in life threatening situation but maybe some of those sonic guns that cause pain when pointed and activated or even the microwave heat guns that using microwaves to cause burning pain in the skin. Not to attack but defend area's that are off limits to enter for a day or so till it calms down.
