Windows will only work if it is always connected to the internet

Your credit card info must be linked to your Windows account

Monthly subscription to avoid ads, then they'll add in ads unless you pay even more.

Want to upgrade your own hardware? You'll need to pay a fee to do so.

Bought a peripheral device like a printer? That'll increase the monthly fee, plus a one time activation fee to have it added to your subscription.

That, plus "accidentally" charging extra fees that only get reversed if people call into contact plain.
