....became?

From the post:

>I develop open-source code. But that never made me one of the “I hate proprietary software or IT giant corporations” types. I always saw the nice things that Microsoft offered to its users; I saw not only downsides in its products. And I also used (and continue to use) things created by it: Windows to start with (and I develop there, being able to debug and address issues specific to the platform that most of our users use); but also its email service for personal mail.

hotmail has sucked for many many years.

Used to have one left over from the golden age...one day I get an email to it's recovery address and it goes something like there's a problem with your account, please sign in.

Signed in, of course now you need to add a phone number...made a temp one, signed in, no problems. In fact, there's been no activity for almost 8 years or so. Deleted the account right then and there.

They always were. Gates saw the Apple interface and realized it was a goldmine. Everything after that was a kludge, a kludge written by some talented people, but a kludge none the less.

It's even worse now. All the guys that could actually code applications have been replaced by pajeet web developers so everything is just a fucking web app now. Outlook - it's just Edge with a skin. Teams - same thing. It's so fucking lazy. They "add" features that were present in previous versions and call them major feature releases.

Don't even get me started on some of the complete retardation in Azure and Exchange Online.
