There are ways to do PCI passthrough for gaming purposes and windowless mode. I had it working damn well at one point but that shit was so fragile that even minor updates would break the fuck out of it.
Thus, the dual boot for gaming. I hate it but I still like to do some gaming. That has been less and less interesting to me for a long time. Eventually it will either just work on Linux or I just wont give a fuck.
