This is all a big push towards a digital economy. Slowly, biometrics is being forced on us. At first it was passwords. Later 2FA (two factor authentication), then authentication apps, then facial and finger print authentication. It's all headed toward biometrics, then embedded authentication. The big problem i have with biometrics is it only has one line of defense: you can't change it. It would be like having a very long username with no password. It would be safe until someone else figured it out. Then you're stuck. You can't change it. A password can easily be changed.

…more secure authentication methods like biometrics, PINs, or security keys

Only one of those is more secure than passwords (security keys).

They also mention passkeys. Passkeys are a secure format, but the passkey creators might conspire to because they don’t like how it implements the standard. I’d prefer a similar public/private key format that is not governed by jerks.
