No one asked for this or wants it. This is about to be a $350 paperweight unless you can replace the OS with something.. You know, useful. Also, I will NEVER pay for "Windows" as a subscription. The only thing I use it for is games that don't work well in Linux. In the future, I will just stop playing (and paying for) those games if they don't make them run better in Linux.

Imagine paying for something to build a dependency upon that you do not control and which can be taken away from you or fail at any time for a multitude of reasons.

Think about it. Say a "mean thing on the internet" then your "computer account is banned". Along with any data you had on it without a recourse to get it back or to be reactivated.

This . They already have one of these devices in the field and it's called an Xbox. Say the wrong thing and they cut you off without any recourse. You're a dumb bastard if you depend on one of these 365 things.

100%. You are expected to "self censor" if you use any of these platforms. It is just communism because "mu private company".

Now we're getting at the crux. Wouldn't that be an ideal world to lure everyone into.
