As long as windows is the default OS load on purchased machines, most are going to use it. MS is in the "No one ever got fired for buying _____" with corporate users right now.
The GNU/Linux community needs to buckle down and present a unified front for adoption. Canonical is trying that, but even they like to play with fuckery and alienate their audience - see the Amazon shopping lens...
