You see, we got entire generations of pretty much the same bunches, one after the other on both sides, holding pretty much the same beliefs when it comes to immigration, typically, same dogma, economic migrants = good to put it simply, they come here to "contribute, work and pay taxes gnigni, they come for a better life gnigni!" on both the left and the right, the former being faster/grosser than the latter when it comes to it, that's all And that's just one key point, there are several, "open trade" is yet another point... But same deal really; it's an integral part of their "software", of their political dogma, identity, it's a fucken given, you go against it you go against decades of "ideological jurisprudence" defining pretty much everything that they are, politically speaking Do you understand what that implies, in practice? It implies that, if they decide to reverse course, to admit that yes they were wrong, that the downsides far out weight the real or supposed benefits, for the nation, then what are they saying what are they left with? Nothing but political suicide. I mean they fucked up, they took far too long to realize their mistake and now it's too late That's why, they'll ALWAYS, remain in denial... Because above all else, they want to maintain themselves in power, whatever it takes... And that's precisely why, they're a fucken existential threat to the nation
