it adds emphasis. its saying there's an emergency. its saying someone is in danger. it says someone is an aggressor and someone is a victim. its another point for people to argue over.
But the whole point of 'it's OK to be White' was that it was intentionally friendly and innocuous, and that made it even more ludicrous when the Left became triggered by it
everything in graphic design has a reason to be there
(and that's also why the 'it's ok to be a gay muslim' post isn't quite right either)
that is from the white standpoint. it is supposed to look like or actually be asians putting up the signs. also the fact that they call themselves "asians" and not "white". we need asians to protest with these signs.
I don't see the point in messing with the style.
even changing OK to OKAY lessens the design impact, nobody says okay
