Almost the exact same story happened to my wife in 2014. Except the doctor she saw at the ER that send her back home was a doctor on paper. A low cost doctor from a low cost university from Romania.

I do tend to agree that a lot of issues can be addressed just as well by NP or PA for less money, but they need to call in the MD for the tricky shit
