I was the only Indian in my Geography class (the country in Asia, not native American), and any time any discussion about anything to do with India came up the teacher would always ask me and ofc I knew nothing. He even had the nerve to tell other teachers about this and at one point another teacher sarcastically told me 'Mr. Geography Teacher tells me that you're an expert on India'.

This was all back in the 90s when such crap was commonplace and the term 'cultural appropriation' didn't exist. Likewise when I had my first job, my manager constantly pulled the same shit like telling me it was my 'chai time' for my break, and making a scene about how other Indian co workers pronounced my name (because pronouncing my name correctly isn't actually possible in English and only people with Indian accents could do so).

I only dream of shit like that happening again now so that I could make loads of money from racism claims, when I was younger I would just take it all up the ass and do nothing about it because I didn't want to cause any trouble.

Oh and yes I've been arrested twice without committing any crimes just because I was shouting during personal shit with idiots I used to know, and following a freedom of information request, the police have a file like 100 pages long on me even though I've never committed any crimes and don't even speak to anyone or leave my house anymore. Go figure. Most of it was merely shit I said online due to needing to vent about my shitty life, because even all that got reported and tracked based on IP address.
