The advantage of posting in is that it makes it easier for everyone who wants follow all voat related posts.

Talking about voat is very specific and also pretty annoying. It has a sub. You guys want voat stuff in it’s appropriate sub. You’re more proactive to address voat talk in than any other topic that may have a sub because you’re the admins and you don’t want want the most defaulted sub to be a chat box for voat drama, specifically.

That's right.
We are trying to avoid a default sub to become the center of a single topic. Adding that not all the poal user base is from voat and they probably don't care about what is happening there and don't want to block a default sub because its content completely changed overtime.
Most social media platforms have their own dedicated sub here (you can check) and people 'almost' always post in these relevant subs.
It has been like that for more than a year, and we are only moving posts when necessary (we don't delete them like TK suggested, unless its spam or breaks the ToS) and never had a complain from anyone until recently with the recent voat migrations.
