Eh, hate speech is free speech. The problem is more complicated imho. An overdose of "cointlelpro'esque" political activism. (or shills). Like gas who you want to gas but be a person at least. Like 90% of the site never ate something tasty they'd like to talk about or a recipe to share. Feels very artificial.
A lot of them still use Reddit for niche interests, and would rather be there if their preferred sub(s) hadn't been banned. You can still see this when they ask about a backup when Voat is down.
