There are so many obvious disrupters over there just screeching and downvoting, making the whole site miserable to be on. No real human gets that butt hurt over the vanilla comments I make. It's a shame. But this is what happens when you do nothing but copy a model (Reddit) that (((they))) figured out how to manipulate years ago. Not even making it a challenge for them. They just dust off the old playbook and make the same old plays. And now the site is on fire.

FR was the original site of this sort. Liberty Post was the one after. Except they didn't copy reddit source, because it was many years before reddit existed. But, post an article, people read it and converse about it on the site.

edit: you cant imagine how crappy FR looked at first. Early days. No javascript, html1.0.
