I'm really starting to wonder if Voat is now an Alphabet company. It seems that the changes being abrupt and major might be because of a powerful hand from a powerful company is pulling the strings. The angel investor might be an Alphabet big wig instead of the main company to keep it off the radar. Putt did say we piss of some powerful people, but he never said they were government people. Maybe it's not Alphabet but it could be some other tech giant. I think they found Putt's price. Does this seem plausible?

NZ, UK, Australia and Canada have all declared outright war on free speech platforms in the name of "hate speech". These are 4 of the 5 eyes that the US intelligence services work with. Not hard to imagine the foreign influence at all.

Yeah, 5 eyes is what I was implying when I said "close ally"

It's not hard to imagine a situation where england is instigating shit online to frame people in the US, in order to exploit some legal loophole. But it's hardly "foreign" at that point. I pretty much consider the 5 eyes to be part of the same power complex, since it's a good bet they will always act in the same manner as one another.
