Interesting indeed.

Interesting indeed.

Seems like this should be studied further. Though, it will never get ground in the US. You can't patent ivermectin and charge 50,000% on its manufacture cost.

No, but at the time, it's easy and cheap to pick it up. Every medicine cabinet should keep Ivermectin.

There is a whole lot of stuff you should be allowed to have in your medicine cabinet that you cant because of the nanny state protecting big pharama.

I agree with you but it also pisses me off that I am forced to do some sort of "appointment" when I know what my problem is and what I need to take care of it. They have to get their insurance pay-out whenever possible while also making sure the pharama masters are paid off as much as possibly. At least I have a doctor that is not really into that and has done well by my family. That is hard as fuck to find these days.

Two mg per patient kilo sounds like a lot. What is the typical dose for the anti parasitic treatment? Is it possible to overdose on it?

For parasites it is 0.2 mg/kg one time. Which doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Parasites have a life cycle and very few things kill the eggs. I've taken dewormers all my life (my mom believed it was really important and if we do it for our cats, humans should too). We were all dewormed about once a year.

I've taken fenbendazole, the one that I can't remember the name of that tastes like overly sweetened milkshake, ivermectin and probably a few others over the years.

Every fall I run through a couple rounds of either ivermectin or fenbendazole. I take a dose and then 5 days later a second dose and then two weeks later I repeat it just to make sure all the worms are dead. I've never even gotten a stomach upset from it and I'm one of those people who gets nauseous from everything and nothing.

They never quite give you all the information that you would need if you were really needing this info right now. like 2MG/kg is good information. But for how long? For a week? a month? is it a cycle with on/off days? So many questions.

Edit: Also, Ivermectin comes in a 12mg dose. So for me, at 175 pounds, that's about 80kg so 160mg per dose!! That's 13 pills at a time!!
