Verhoeven was definitely trying to push the boundaries of relatability as an experiment on the audience, while also creating a metaphor for war: to kill an anonymous other, as on the field of battle, propagandists must dehumanize the foe to the point that they are alien grotesques, unrecognizable.

Just listen to any leftoid femorat who gets her information on the world from Reddit, CNN, Vice, The Daily Show, or Kimmel. She has been so indoctrinated, her worldview so blatantly contrary to reality, that she regards the very child growing within her, a blessing from God, as a burden, obligation or even a diseased parasite.

i become quietly enraged when women joke about babies being a parasite

You could show them pictures from an Anatomy & Physiology text book. Particularly cutaways from late term pregnancy where the baby can be clearly seen to be a baby. More than a few A&P classes have women break down and start weeping when they realize that what they had inside their womb was not a clot of blood, but a baby.

wish i hadnt lost my old phone. For funzies i went to a trump parade many years ago and there was a family/team going around holding a bunch of dolls that showed the babies in their different life stages in the uturus. I took a picture of it so i could show it to people when they argued with me. Its a bit shocking that people dont realise when babies start looking like babies in the womb, the education system has been pretty effective in dumbing people down to accept the false reality that babies are dumb bloodclots.

i remember my baby when he was was in the womb would wake me up by kicking so hard it actually shook the bed. He responded when I sang to him, it was amazing the relationship you can develop with a fetus
