I didn't think the statement at the bottom was true, and a bit of research says I was correct.

If the goal is to get parishioners into heaven, then they have to properly atone for their sins, and sidestepping the process may worsen the issue. Obviously confessing to her husband ought to be a condition of absolution, but if priests are going to blab about things parishioners won't confess to them in the first place.

I thought the same thing. Thanks for doing the digging. As far as I know the only way a priest can violate the sanctity of the confessional is if the person who confessed allows them to.

If you don't repent you're just bragging.

It would be funny if it was with the priest. “I banged your wife. What? I thought she told you.”

Also, you don’t have the same level of confidentiality as with a lawyer or doctor when you go to the confessional.

Why would you post this on social media? Does she expect us to feel sorry for her?

Bitches be dumb.

Not catholic but my understanding is Confession is an admittance of wrong doing and genuine want for forgiveness - not a free pass to go and do it a week later.

It's possible she wanted to tell her husband but wasn't brave enough. So she confesses to the priest in hope he does it for her. Still, 😒

Cheaters are agents of Satan. How can one have so little respect for oneself and the one they love? Disgusting, cowardly, selfish behavior.
