The reason twitter matters is because of its network effect and eyeballs. 80%+ aren't going to hand over PII and credit card info to Elon in combination with a monthly fee With 80% of your eyeballs gone, you lose way more than 80% of your value, even with the 20% paying.

If Twitter wants to censor, then they should be charging a monthly fee. You can't censor what someone is saying on a busy street corner which is essentially what Twitter is.

I've been on twitter twat since 09 but really only started to use it during fits of boredom. I won't pay him a dime. He should have started his own show as a competitor.

Now imagine panticlutch posts some twitter link and it takes you to a register page where you have to link your bank account and pay X/month if you haven't already? No one is going to do it! a. that's a paywall, and b. you lose whatever anonymity you thought you had.
They'll either close the tab or they'll look for an archived link if they really care that much, which they won't.
Let's say you can view the tweet, but can't reply. You've still killed engagement, which is also horrible. Twitter is no longer interactive. It's become the daily mail with a comments section that's only available to paid subscribers!

It's too busy to keep a lid on. Jews that need to know stuff have their way of knowing stuff. Twitter was great cuz anyone could use it as an Eyes and Ears platform. I don't use Twitter but got a lot of laughs from pages dedicated to things Jews hate not too long ago. But it's existence is now a threat to the jews because of the the fragility of their illusion spell. Elon musk has been doing a lot of work with Space X and I bet he's got some government contracts to manufacture stuff by now. He may have bought Twitter as a calculated risk and knew he'd sacrifice it if he needed to.
This is a great way to kill the platform and still make a little bit of money even though it won't cover the loss.
