On the topic of pretending, it's obvious none of these leftards really think the colleges are going to instantly switch to 50s mode and discriminate against blacks. The colleges are literally whining about having to be sneakier about favoring blacks.
So yeah she actually did mean it the first way. She thinks even in a meritocracy that is biased towards blacks, they will fail, that the system must be fully Marxist to prop them up.
