I think Jack was a naive, 1980's style liberal idealist/opportunist who was worn down by (((activist investors))) over the years.

His mistake was very early when he gave up a controlling share of the company. He should have done what Noseberg did, create a new class of "voting shares" that he could keep 51% ownership in - controlling the board of directors.

He fucked up by not doing that, and giving outsiders control of the board. He was serving at the pleasure of his "activist investors" for years, because they controlled the board and could fire him by calling a board meeting. He took the check and gave up control because he saw the opportunity to grow with the money faster and didn't realize his (((investors))) were playing the long game. That was his undoing.

His redemption is he worked with Musk to take Twitter private and get rid of the worst influences (although Musk isn't a white knight either).

The place is still heavily censored and only permits speech to the right side of the jew approved Overton window, but it isn't the bolshevik hell-hole it was earlier this year.
