It fell $15 from 367 to 352. Very sensationalist headline, stock prices will go back tomorrow, the executives of this company probably didn’t even have their dinners interrupted during the “crash”

user could have made a killing shorting it, right?

Well that’s true. I just meant this makes it sound like a big pharma company lost billions because of a tweet, simply untrue

That will probably happen. Already happens all the time for small caps. The share market is a den of filthy jews trying to swindle companies, investors and each other. They do pump and dumps, makes shorting and all manner of fuckery, and that doesn't even touch the HFTs.

Why would anyone think it prudent to raise capital by going public?

What I like about this and the Lockheed Martini tweet is it shows how fragile the markets really are. I bet these are AI triggered sells as well.

Someone paid $8 for Twitter blue and wiped out $15 billion in market cap from a big pharmaceutical company

The person who made the post that they reference did not wipe out anything - they merely said a few words. Everyone who panicked based on the words of some random person without doing a hint of research into the statement and who should already have had the "real" Eli Lilly bookmarked/followed/whatever and sold all of their stocks "wiped out" the value.

I should have made a thread about this when it happened. It was hilarious.

The entire sector went down that (small) amount.

It has absolutely nothing to do with the tweet troll, it's just a trend across the whole market because the economy is in the shitter.

FFS, you're just as dumb as all the redditors that are saying Elon will get sued for this.
