Not really sure why this is bad. I've used an electric kettle for years. What are you guys doing putting a pan of water on the stove? Electric kettle is instant almost. It doesn't heat up the rest of your house when you're trying to heat the water that's inside the kettle. Why is this bad or some sign of the apocalypse.

I posted this to point out the obserdity of the tweet telling people about a fifty+ technology as a new idea to boil water. Who the fuck boils water in a pot on a stove unless you live in a log cabin off the grid. Some here didn't get the joke.
Many Americans simply use the microwave to heat the water in the cup(s) they're going to drink out of.
