Maybe it's because electric companies give out bonuses without updating their transformers and other infrastructure. I have seen in the past 10 years 3 transformers blow and one was from a leaky rubber seal that allowed water in. If they'd just maintain their equipment properly like it was meant to be and quit waiting for them to die or explode and instead do quality "not cheapest bid" rebuilds of transformers and shit. I've seen lines snap from cold and storms but in recent years it's been just to cheap to replace aging shit that they knew was going but they didn't since the fucking investors "get rid of boards that skirt the replacement of old shit or updating aging often many many decades old equipment that was used for a population 1/4 the size the stuff handles now.
Yes I know this is planned but the corporations are profiting like a 3rd world utility when they should be setting the new standard. If you estimate the prices many of us pay for using as little electricity as possible then all lines should be buried underground and the power is never interupted either but instead more bonuses for a public utility which should be against the law, you should get a set check and no bunus unless you save the company a shit ton of money by replacing equipment that burns off power on microshorts that just eat up the power like a memory leak but with electricity instead of data.

The current administration is celebrating it. In my day if you blew three trannies you'd be called a fag.
