back in the 1800s there was no social media that set lies ablaze. back in the 1800s people were smarter and topics were discussed. all we have now is brow-beating. back in the 1800s, there was at least a semblance of discourse and education that mattered.

I used to think this too. Now when I look at old photographs or read history, I just see the same humans playing the same political and power games. The only thing that seems to change are the costumes.

yes, humans still have the same traits as always. but the methods and means that amplify those traits has become treacherous.
