China is going to kick our ass if we don't step it up.

The battery range seems a little low, but for a taxi, a system like this would make sense rather than an hour or more at a charging station.

A 2 minute battery change means 15+ minutes while you wait. Every 70 miles. I was thinking, "maybe ok for the housewife that rarely leaves home" but not for a taxi. And certainly not for an American that lives outside downtown NYC.

And you'll need these changing stations all over the place. More dense than gas stations.

EV's are a waste.

A fresh battery lasts 150km in winter...

It's actually 93 miles, and with winter driving that can easily cut the range in half. Probably summer time range is above 200 miles.

EV's are a waste if they are charged with anything but renewable energy, which currently stands at less than 15% worldwide. Also, a bigger issue is recycling all the "new" technology we're creating.

So, a move to EV's would require a massive overhaul and ramp up of the entire nation's power grid, which is already overtaxed and on the brink of failure, and done with "renewable" energy, which is retard talk for incredibly expense shit energy (and no. Nuclear energy would never be tolerated in the US, and should be considered a crime against humanity in China). All to get 100 miles before pulling into a battery change station with every other smug douche and waiting your turn.

And our summers (in Texas) means a/c cranked up on high, so double? Doubt it.

I'll pass, and laugh.
