That's why I don't associate most Christians with Christ. Where does the Bible say anything about disembodied souls watching over living people? People take the piss out of it because they associate it with Christianity, but it's an idea found in many faiths. I think Shinto believe that their ancestors watch over their household or something like that?

Its a dumb association for sure. It even says in the bible that the living go with the living, and the dead with the dead
