Those who think arming teachers is a good idea have never never seen them try to operate an overhead projector.

I do understand because most are Liberal and City dwellers, but there are also many that invite the ability to protect the kids. It only takes a few and the criminal knows there are there.
This is true. But it could play out like the nuclear arms race. Mutual assured destruction. So even the perception of having an armed teacher makes the classroom no longer a soft target.
Hire better teachers.
