I never went on Twitter because of the propaganda. They would have banned me almost immediately. Those kind of platform's are kind of pointless for me to use. Just curious, how are you (specifically) blocking the ads?
On any Tweet, there are three small dots on the right-hand side of the tweet. Click on the dots and select "Block (xxxxx)"

Twitter's bot banned me twice for writing "idiot" and "kike". I got annoyed and left for good.
This is the closest thing to social media I use. Quit fb years ago, deleted reddit account four years ago, never used Twitter, twitch, gab, rukkas or anything like any of that. Honorable mention to Minds for being so forgettable.

My kids’ school only makes announcements via twatter. Admin stuff, school cancellations, etc. The wine mommies like it that way.
