Part of the problem as I see it is that they have convinced people that you cannot grow anything without raised beds and commercialism, people living in the most fertile areas are buying the lie that they need greenhouses and raised beds to grow basic crops. The kikes have convinced the NPCs that its too hard and its because of the climate. Its too hard because it takes regular discipline and patience to grow your own crops. It can be done and is being done by those of us who are not brainwashed by (((society))).
