context: recently got an alert from my browser that a plugin was blocked due to it being "malware."

The plugin is NukeRedditHistory which I used to use until all my Reddit accounts got banned from me not being able to hold back sharing my thoughts on all the faggotry and jewry on there.

Any, I think that guy is partially correct. I am certain Reddit is big and kiked enough to influence search engines, browsers, etc. I started using the plugin on my reddit accounts because I started getting doxxed as the shift of reddit being cool and informative to a liberal demonic shithole and I couldn't help but rip into those faggots.

So, I don't believe the plugin was ever malware. I think reddit wants to keep your content, and keep it public, forever.

The McAfee antivirus that comes preinstalled on my laptop quarantined a "malware" app I have used for over a decade. I uninstalled McAfee. Most antivirus software, in my experience, is like the local locksmith who made several hangup phone calls, then called again to sell me a home security system. Pay for the solution to the problem they created.

It is a marketing tactic: Create computer viruses, then sell them 'cures' that stop common viruses but show the backdoor to the real viruses.

If you "delete" your comment on Plebbit it simply removes it from being shown during page load. If, however, you edit it and overwrite it before deleting it (as most of these nuke Plebbit comment plugins do) it overwrites the content in the database, so your original comment/content is gone.

I'm sure you're right that Plebbit wants to prevent people from doing this on a significant scale, because I doubt they hang onto comment edit history. They probably could but I don't think they actually do.

So the next best step is to maliciously label plugins they don't want used as being malware.

That’s what the plug-in did.

I bet the fatpeoplehate folks were chatting about this in their IRCs back in 2015
