Starvation will occur, at least in many parts of the third and so called emerging world, we can already see a couple of countries starting to struggle with "food riots", and I think we'll see "rationings" in the west, europe and US. Not necessarily drastic rationings, but rationings nonetheless

At the point we're at, that's almost a given

Now, mass starvation, will evidently trigger mass immigration, to the west

And I don't think that's the end of it all, actually that's beginning in the sense that, it's not a crisis that they'll just let go to waste

They introduced a "vaccine passport" and that's not just for the sake of it, it's going to evolve into a "universally recognized, overarching ID and the creation of a digital global money system."

https://search.brave.com/search?q=universally+recognized%2C+overarching+ID+and+the+creation+of+a+digital+global+money+system.

They aren't going to let anything to chance, they aren't going to trigger mass starvation and just hope everybody dies... The world is too big and humans are way too resilient for that to work

And there's always something to trade, so there's always a need for a medium of exchange, and what we call "money" serves as a medium of exchange

A "medium of exchange" can be sea shells, can be perls, can be diamonds, can be cocaine, can be metal coins, can be stamps, tickets, "bills", "credits", "digits"

Right but at that level of trade digital dollars are useless to anyone trading. I can just trade sea shells without all the overhead of klaus and as long as i dont have huge appetites there is no reason to ever need them.

The degree of usefulness of a medium of exchange, is measured by its recognition as such, nothing more

You can try to offer gold in exchange of something to hypothetical incas, if for them gold is worthless because they shit tons of it every morning or whatever reason, then that's what your gold is in that environment, worthless

And I don't think the safest areas will accept seashells as a medium of exchange/currency

Because yes, there will be safer areas, the world isn't going to end overnight and go full madmax to infinity over a mere financial crisis of biblical proportions

You would need a nuclear mexican standoff between NATO - Russia - China for that to actually happen
