If I did the same with old.reddit that list would be 75% shorter. Please don't make me prove it. It's a pain in the ass doing the screenshots then putting them together.
I prefer teddit or libreddit myself. I just use the app I posted in the comments. It redirects a bunch of non private sites to open source alternatives. Reddit, twitter, Instagram, etc...
Old reddit isn't the best choice. But it sure is better than just using reddit links.

If Reddit is doing tracking then all you're eliminating is cookies having to do with the feeping creaturism of the newer reddit interface. Once you touch their servers they already have information from you. I'd recommend just removing it from your list.
