if reddit dies, nothing of value is lost

What kind of shit is that?
The take me to the front page link is Interesting too. Almost like they're fishing for internet addicts who won't notice where they wandered.
They are essentially letting the members decide who gets deplatformed. And we all know when "list of members who are in a hate group or racist, transphobic, etc" appears the admins aren't going to do a thing about it. It's like Reddit has reached the point where they can't censor people any more so they're passing the ability off to users. This is also a wet dream for political groups and advertisers, it basically lets them silence anyone critical of them.
Can't see shit you cunt
One person on /r/TheoryOfReddit already wrote about how easily people can manipulate this system: When you make a controversial post, simply block everyone who negatively responds. Then, when you make more controversial posts, you start to filter out the naysayers and your posts gain much more traction and apparent approval.
This isn't unintended, it's by design. It's a way for the majority to silence the minority. Dissenting opinions are verboten. Twitter has had a similar feature for months where you can make a tweet and restrict who can respond to it.
We could use a better block option here. I have 3 or 4 users blocked, but when people are blocked here, you can still see their names in various threads. It is more of a “mute” than a complete block.
So that happens on Poal.
I have had people comment debating me then block me keeping me from replying.
