"My boss gave someone that wasn't me a gift for reasons unrelated to work, so I've complained to HR and am talking to a lawyer about suing them." Gee, I wonder why the boss didn't want to do something extra for this person. Do they complain when they don't get a present on someone else's birthday, too?
Edit: It wasn't actually HR, it was some faggy website's "AskHR" forum.

You'd be surprised how insane these people are. They'd be the ones complaining that birthday celebrations aren't appropriate for a professional office. At home they're the ones that give presents to all the kids on one kid's birthday so the others don't feel left out.
The bottom line is that they're professional grievers. Their life is centered around rooting around any and every situation to find things to be appalled about. They live to cause problems for others. They are a poison wherever they go.
