Nah, if you read the comments it's not the wage she cares about, it's because he's so sensitive he cries all the time and complains about wanting a better position but never takes action. Those are not good qualities in a man and she's doing him a solid by telling him why she's leaving because he clearly needs some pain to drive him to care about his own life. If he was some broke guy following his passion to do some minimum wage persuit and loved it and didn't put all his worries on her and beg for comfort she'd probably be content. Content but not happy.
