I hate the office environment so much. I was in the cafe getting a coffee When I lost 10lbs I was struggling with, I bought a new blouse and a male coworker had the nerve to say " You look really nice today" Some girl, I barely knew, waited until he left and told me "I was offended on your behalf. How dare he say that to you. You should report him to HR" I still can't believe people are that stupid but it's clownworld so maybe I'm wrong
I'd have made it a point to let her know it's ridiculous to be insulted by a compliment and that type of reaction is why chivalry is nearly dead.
I just looked at her, hmmed and walked away.
Yes it is ridiculous to be insulted by a compliment especially when it was directed at someone else. So maybe that's why she was offended that men don't compliment her. Picture typical white landwhale in too tight work attire with quirky blue colored hair and geek glasses.
Offices are notorious for landwhales, probably because they sit on their asses all day.
It's a real shame that men are weary of chivalry being taken out of context so they don't do it much
I'm sure there's an element of deep rooted jealousy in there too.
Women these days riddle themselves in piercings and tattoos, acting like holier than thou princess and give minimal effort and wonder why they're still single.
Then when an opportunity presents itself they screw it up by jumping to conclusions many times and being rude and then wonder for a brief moment if they are the problem before shrugging that throught with mental gymnastics and blaming men as an entire group for their own follies.
It's no wonder mental illness is so rampant in both sexes. Even uninterested people looking on are affected on a subconscious level by this type of degeneracy and anti-social behaviour.
I would have said "I don't get offended by compliments." If you don't point that shit out to these fuckwits, their world view never gets threatened and they continue with their crap.
