The first time I saw it was on a cancer forum. I’d been there for years because of my dad and someone’s father passed away and did a big eulogy when their loved one passed like usual.
But he used matriarch nobody had ever used either term before.
I politely pm’d him and said his father was the patriarch, not the matriarch of the family and he got all bent out of shape taking about the queen is a leader and us the matriarch which means ruler etc.
So I politely pm’d him the definitions of both and he never replied and left it.
After that I just figure people are retards when I see that and don’t bother trying to fix stupid.
Sadly, you cannot fix stupid o.0 Someone like that chooses to remain ignorant.
I knew a pajeet growing up who insisted couple means three or more, and a few means two. That’s probably what they teach them in pooistan
At the same time.. That is what you get when you allow anyone that "speaks english" to teach english in your country even if they have no defined qualifications.
